Guided trail rides

Our guided trail rides are a wonderful way to explore and enjoy your national park. We offer 1, 2, and 3 hour rides, and an all-day ride. Trail rides are subject to weather and trail conditions. For safety reasons, all rides are tailored to accomodate the lowest riding ability level in any grouping of riders
Reservations are suggested, and must be canceled 2 hours before your scheduled ride departure time to avoid a 50% cancellation charge. Parties of six or more require a 50% deposit and must cancel 24 hours in advance.
All prices subject to an annual review. The price effective at the time that you make your reservation will be the fee that you are charged.
$35.00 minimum charge.

Stewart Trail, approx. 1 hour
$40.00 per person

Departs each hour, on the hour

A pleasant, relaxing, slow paced ride through pasture, along the crest of a small ridge to a shady wooded trail. This ride is especially good for beginners and youngsters.

Fir Top Trail, approx. 2 hours

$60.00 per person

Departs at 9:00AM, 12:00PM and 3:00PM during summer season
Departs at 9:00AM, 12:00PM and 2:00PM during winter


		Our most popular ride, we will climb up to the Inverness ridge, about 1300 feet, passing a osprey nest. You will view the Olema valley as you pass through bay wood groves, ride among moss covered towering Douglas fir trees that reveal peeks of the pacific ocean to the west. The trail then drops down into the serenity of birch and alder forest along peaceful Olema creek.

Glen Trail, approx 3 hours
$100.00 per person

Departs at 10:00AM and 2:00PM during summer season
Departs at 10:00AM and 1:00PM during winter
Minimum of four riders required

This ride is a good choice for those riders who want to experience the wilderness quality of the park. We will travel through woods of oak, Douglas fir and huckleberry (yum!), see five types of ferns and other members of the plant and animal community of Point Reyes. As we climbover the ridge we will see a stunning panoramic view of the rugged pacific coast and Drakes Bay.

Wildcat Beach Ride, approx. 6 hours
$180.00 per person

Departs at 10:00AM
Minimum of five riders required

The Ride of your dreams! Climb through the forest over the Inverness ridge where the Farallon Islands point out the way to Wildcat beach. Here we will break for lunch (bring your own ) before heading down one of the most beautiful, remote white sand beaches in California to spectacular Alamere Falls. This is an experience you will treasure for a lifetime.

Private Rides

Private rides are ideal for those who desire a more personal setting such as celebrating birthdays, anniversaries or honeymoons. They are preferred by more experienced riders, as we can better tailor the ride to your level of horsemanship. They are also utilized by those who desire to depart at a custom time rather than at one of our regular departures. Our personal guide will show you the way. A private ride makes a unique and special gift!


		Private Stewart trail ride, $50.00 per person

		Private Fir Top trail ride, $80.00 per person
		Private Glen trail ride, $140.00 per person
		Private Wildcat Beach ride, $240.00 per person
		We also offer a private picnic ride. The excursion lasts over 2-1/2 hours, including a break for a picnic lunch we prepared for you at a delightful meadow atop the Inverness ridge. $130.00 per person
			All private rides are a 2 person minimum.

Pony rides

Available all day

$15.00 each

Our gentlest horses and ponies take your young Buckaroos and Buckarettes on a hand-led ride around the
Five Brooks pond where we will see a variety of Point Reyes wildlife, such as the Western Pond turtle,
Great Blue Heron, and California Quail.

	For $250.00 per Month enjoy unlimited riding on weekdays with the horse of your choice from our stable. We cover all the expenses and provide the tack so that you can have all the fun of having your own horse without the investment. (certain restrictions apply)

Horse Boarding

Boarding is available for long or short term stays at Five Brooks Stable. All board includes Oat and Alfalfa hay fed twice a day, daily mucking out of stall or paddock, and 24 hour a day on site personnel to keep a eye on your horse. The tack room and sand arena are available for your use.

Monthly Board

Paddock - $280.00 per horse (Includes cleaning and feed)
Stall - $320.00 per horse (Includes bedding, cleaning and feed)

Overnight Board

Paddock - $30.00 per horse (Includes cleaning and feed)
Stall - $40.00 per horse (Includes bedding, cleaning and feed)

Boarded Horse Care Services

We offer a full range of services to support our boarders

Basic Grooming - $10.00

Includes curry combing, brushing, hoof cleaning, and hoof treatment (if desired)

Basic plus bathing - $25.00

Includes the basic grooming plus a shampoo and rinse

The Works - $40.00

Includes all of the above and coat conditioner, mane and tail comb-out, and clipping of bridle notch, fetlocks and wiseacres (if desired)

Custom Feeding - $2.00 per day plus feed cost

Your Horse will receive extra feed according to your instructions.

Exercise - $20.00 per half hour

Your horse is exercised by one of our handlers on a halter and lunge line

Exercise under saddle - $40.00 per hour

Your horse will be given basic grooming and saddled. A trainer is specifically assigned to your horse to exercise under saddle in the manner that you request.

Training - $50.00 per hour

In depth training available for your horse in Dressage, Hunt seat, and Western style Riding, or in Harness.

Riding lessons
for our Boarders and Guided Trail Riders

Boarders or guided trail riders can take advantage of Riding lessons that are available for anyone who wants to get a good foundation in horsemanship. They offer an opportunity for more experienced riders to brush up on their skills. First time trail riders, who desire a more thorough understanding of our equine friends, are also welcome. Dressage, Hunt seat, and Western pleasure style Riding lessons: $60.00 per hour. Save on a package of ten lessons: $550.00.
